Said simply, Drama Tasmania is the association who supports and promotes drama education across this great state. Our aim is to work with you, the teachers, the education professionals, the drama enthusiasts to provide the best for drama education.

Supporting drama educators

Drama Tasmania is a non-profit professional association supporting drama educators across the State of Tasmania. Our members work in the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors in drama education. Drama Tasmania collaborates with the theatre industry through companies, artists and arts venues, to provide opportunities to offer professional learning to our members. Drama Australia – NJ

Drama Australia, the National Association for Drama Education, publishes scholarly and practical works in drama education appropriate for teachers, academics, artists and administrators.

The publishing of Nadie Journal (NJ) is managed by Drama Australia in partnership with Taylor and Francis.

Subscriptions to NJ are for a calendar year, and include two editions of NJ, The Journal of Drama Australia. Editions are published both electronically and in hard copy and will be delivered directly to subscribers.

NJ is a leading international and refereed journal which publishes contemporary research articles focusing on Drama Education.

 Drama Tas Committee

Each year we give our members the opportunity to elect the executives of Drama Tasmania at the Annual general meeting. The committee meet regularly to discuss what activities and professional learning they can provide members. If you have any requests for PL please contact Drama Tas.

Drama Tasmania relies on the generosity and good will of volunteers. The activities of this organisation are delivered by the volunteer committee and other volunteers.
